Are you newly pregnant and not sure what’s next?
Or are you a bit further along and looking for a new maternity healthcare provider?
Great! You’re in the right place.
Pregnancy is such an important and personal journey, and there are many options on where to receive your care. Whether you’ve just taken an at-home pregnancy test and received a positive result or you’re already a few months into your pregnancy, we’d love to meet you.
Maternal and Family Health Services (MFHS) is a confidential, high-quality and affordable provider of prenatal care. We are currently welcoming new maternity patients just like you at our Circle of Care location —820 South Washington Avenue, Scranton.
You can expect the MFHS team to provide complete and highly personal care during your pregnancy and beyond. We support new parents and caregivers even after the baby’s birth — empowering families with the resources and education to build strong foundations for healthy lives.
Although our maternity care services are provided in Lackawanna County, patients from all across Northeastern Pennsylvania choose MFHS for their prenatal care. MFHS provides quality healthcare, education, resources and social supports, as well as Healthy Beginnings Plus.
We’re here for you.
New maternity patients — no matter where you are on your pregnancy journey — are always welcome.
As a new prenatal (maternity) patient, you’ll experience an early ultrasound on-site at one of your initial visits. This helps us to confirm exactly how far along you are and determine the best care plan for you.
As an MFHS maternity patient, you’ll receive:
- Comprehensive, confidential maternity (prenatal) health care before and after delivery
- Education and resources about how to progress through a healthy pregnancy and have a positive labor and delivery experience
- Social supports to help with any pregnancy or parenting-related concerns and ensure parents-to-be have everything they need during pregnancy and beyond
The video below explains our range of services — including our Oh Baby! Incentive program — and how we empower our patients and help them navigate pregnancy.
Ready to schedule your first maternity visit with MFHS? Great!
We accept most insurances, and our team can help uninsured or under-insured individuals access high-quality pre and postnatal care. Many people are eligible for assistance (including free and low-cost services) and do not realize it.
Our team is ready to answer any questions. Just let us know how we can help.
You’ll find ample parking at MFHS’ Circle of Care location [820 South Washington Avenue, Scranton] and it’s also a convenient stop on Lackawanna County’s public transportation bus routes.
PS — If you (or someone you know) might be pregnant but aren’t 100% sure, MFHS offers confidential, free walk-in pregnancy testing at our Circle of Care [Scranton] location. Walk-in pregnancy testing takes just a few minutes — and it’s better to know for sure than ignore the possibility of pregnancy.
Our qualified and credentialed doctors, nurse practitioners and staff will become your advocates and partners in care. Just as our team comes to know you throughout your pregnancy journey, you’ll become comfortable with our staff as well — and many of our patients comment about how much they love seeing the same friendly faces at each visit.
Meet some of the MFHS Circle of Care team members:
Unlike the large hospital systems that may actively seek you as a patient, at Maternal and Family Health Services Circle of Care there’s no need to see several different doctors, nurses, or support staff in various locations. Our women-led care team is committed to providing a safe, comfortable and nonjudgmental care experience for every patient at every visit. We can’t wait to meet you.
Our patients say:
“Love this place great ppl”
“Great staff, very friendly and helpful”
“They did a wonderful job taking care of me and my baby”
