Pregnancy care provided through the Healthy Beginnings Plus Program is free for pregnant people who meet the eligibility requirements. Income and family size criteria must be met to qualify for medical assistance coverage for maternity care under the Medical Assistance Program.

If a parent to be is currently uninsured, Medical Assistance income guidelines are higher for pregnant people than for the general population. Many people may be eligible and not realize it. The staff at MFHS Circle of Care can help to complete the application.
