A Breastfeeding Peer Counselor is a mother who participates in the WIC Nutrition Program and has successfully breastfed her baby for at least six months. She knows what it’s like and it willing to help you with any questions or concerns you may have about breastfeeding.

Peer Counselor Program Locations

Maternal and Family Health Services offers the Breastfeeding Peer Counselor Program in the following 5 MFHS WIC Nutrition Centers. You can visit our locations page to find all MFHS services in your county, including WIC Nutrition Centers. (Breastfeeding support is still available in WIC Centers not participating in the Peer Counselor Program.)
