Northeast Regional Maternal Health Coalition to Host Televised Panel Discussion on Maternal Care
The Northeast Regional Maternal Health Coalition (NRMHC), an initiative of MFHS, will host a special panel discussion titled “Conversations for the Common Good: A Regional Approach to Maternal Care” in collaboration with WVIA. This panel discussion will take place on January 28, 2026, from 3:30 to 5:30 PM at WVIA, 100 WVIA Way, Pittston, Pennsylvania.
The event will be televised, and members of the community are invited to attend in person to watch the live recording of the panel discussion. The conversation will focus on maternal health challenges and opportunities across Northeastern Pennsylvania.
The panel will feature distinguished leaders in maternal and women’s health, including:
- Sara Goulet, Special Advisor, Office of the Secretary, Pennsylvania Department of Human Services
- Dr. Amanda Flicker, Chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Chief Medical Executive of the Women’s Health Service Line at Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN)
- Dr. Maria Montoro Edwards, President & CEO, Maternal and Family Health Services
The panel discussion will be hosted by Tracey Matisak of WVIA, guiding a thoughtful and engaging conversation centered on maternal health.
The NRMHC brings together healthcare providers, community organizations, and advocates to strengthen maternal health systems, reduce disparities, and improve outcomes through collaboration and education.
